After Hours AM America's Most Haunted radioTonight on After Hours AM/America’s Most Haunted Radio, 9-11pE, with hosts Joel Sturgis and Eric Olsen, we dig deep into our favorite topic — Haunted America! — with wildly prolific author of HAUNTED AMERICA FAQ, Dave Thompson. Dave will be joining us in the 10pE hour – at 9pE Joel and Eric talk paranormal news from America’s Most Haunted Twitter feed and website. You can listen live or to the recorded podcast right here – all episodes are available 24/7 on our show page.

In Dave Thompson’s HAUNTED AMERICA FAQ we take a fast-paced survey of the ghosties, ghouls, and associated denizens of the country’s haunted history.Haunted America FAQ Witch of Endor Tracing local ghost stories back to Native American legends and then forward through horror tales both ancient and Haunted America FAQ Dave Thompsonmodern, the book revisits some of the best known haunted locales, as well as some of the most obscure creepy places, in America.

Delving deep into the cultural history of American hauntings, HAUNTED AMERICA FAQ includes chapters on ghostly books, movies, and television. Also included is an A-Z of reality-TV ghost hunts and a state-by-state gazetteer of haunted spots.

Among book highlights are America’s very first ghost story, our most haunted cemeteries, haunted ghost towns, musical ghosts, poltergeists, haunted amusement parks, and a boatload of additional spooky madness.

Dave Thompson is a pop-culture historian and the author of over 100 books, including biographies of Robert Plant, David Bowie, Eric Clapton, Joan Jett, James Taylor, Genesis, and many more. In a career that is almost as old as U2’s, whom he saw in a club when they first moved to London, and memorably described as “okay, but they’ll never get any place,” he similarly dismissed the future prospects of Simply Red, Pearl Jam and Wang Chung (oh, and Curiosity Killed The Cat as well), and that probably explains why he has never been anointed a Pop Culture Nostradamus.  Although the fact that he was around to pronounce gloomily on them in the first place might determine why he was recently described as “a veteran music journalist.”

Dave’s interest in the paranormal dates back to childhood and his wife is slavishly devoted to Syfy’s Ghost Hunters. He currently resides in Newark, DE.
