THE SACRIFICE OF SUNSHINE GIRL

Is Sunshine Griffith who she thinks she is? Now that her luiseach powers are fully awakened, and having barely survived an abyss full of demons at the end of Book Two, Sunshine must figure out who—or what—has been organizing the forces of darkness against her. Thanks to her brainiac boyfriend, Nolan, they not only unearth that Sunshine’s death would trigger a calamitous event, but that all civilization depends on her survival. So when an unexpected event unleashes a fierce war between the luiseach and the demon army, Sunshine will learn a shocking truth about herself. Can she bring herself to make the ultimate sacrifice to save humankind?

THE AWAKENING OF SUNSHINE GIRL

Sunshine Griffith is a girl who can communicate with ghosts. She and her would-be boyfriend Nolan are also struggling with the shocking discovery that she’s a “luiseach”: one of a race of creatures who have lived among humans for centuries, protecting them from dark spirits and helping them move on to the afterlife. Now Sunshine’s powers are fully awakened, and spirits follow her everywhere. Hoping to get her supernatural abilities under control, she agrees to begin training with her mentor—who also happens to be her birth father, Aidan. He takes her to an abandoned campus deep in the Mexican jungle. But Aidan’s work turns out to be more terrifying than Sunshine could have imagined.

Can anything—Aidan’s experiments, Sunshine’s friendship with another young luiseach named Lucio, even Nolan’s research—prepare Sunshine to face the frightening woman who haunts her dreams, to finally learn the truth about the rift that threatens the future of the luiseach and the human race… and the deadly part she may play in it?

THE HAUNTING OF SUNSHINE GIRL

Shortly after her sixteenth birthday, Sunshine Griffith and her mother, Kat, move from sunny Austin, Texas, to the rain-drenched town of Ridgemont, Washington. Though Sunshine is adopted, she and her mother have always been close, sharing a special bond filled with laughter and inside jokes. But from the moment they cross the Washington state line, Sunshine feels her world darken with an eeriness she cannot place. And even if Kat doesn’t recognize it, Sunshine knows something about their new house is just…creepy.

On their first night in Ridgemont, Sunshine is awakened by the sound of footsteps coming from above, followed by a child’s ghostly laughter. In the days that follow, things just get more frightening. But Kat seems oblivious to the terror, insisting that Sunshine’s imagination is getting the best of her. Determined to prove her mother wrong, Sunshine begins taking photographs, desperate to catch evidence of the supernatural presence. At her new school Sunshine meets Nolan Foster, a cute—if slightly bookish—classmate. Nolan also has a passion for photography—and, more importantly, for ghosts. He offers to help Sunshine figure out exactly what’s going on. What they uncover is a story that’s much bigger and runs deeper than they could have imagined. She can hardly believe it, but as the spirits haunting her house become stranger—and it becomes clear that Kat is in danger—Sunshine learns that everything she thought she knew about her past has been wrong.
